Family Night With Santa At The Durham

The Durham Western Heritage Museum is home to the Midwest’s largest Christmas tree. Visit the museum for holiday crafts sponsored by Mangelsen’s, live choir performances, and access to the rest of the museum's displays and attractions (full list of attractions available on the museum's website).

When: December 5th, 12th or 19th from 5-8pm

Cost: $11 Adults, $8 Seniors (62+), $7 Children (3-12) and Free for children 2 and under


Holiday Lights Festival: NRG Energy Ice Rink

New location for 2017! The all popular Omaha holiday ice rink has moved to the Gene Leahy Outdoor Mall. A portion of each ticket purchased benefits the local Food Bank for the Heartland. The new location provides easy convenience to view the spectacular holiday light display, walk on the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge and enjoy all that downtown Omaha has to offer!  

Where: 10th & Capital Ave (Downtown Omaha)

Mannheim Steamroller Christmas

A 30 year holiday tradition in Omaha and throughout the world that you won't want to miss! Sit back and enjoy the cozy environment and upbeat holiday music created by Grammy-Award winner Chip Davis!

Where: Orpheum Theater 409 S 16th Street, Omaha, NE 68102

When: December 22nd and 23rd, 2017 at 7:30pm

Christmas in Germany 2017

Omaha's own German-American Society is hosting their annual Christmas in Germany. The event is open for members and non-members and will be featuring German folk dancing, holiday carols, a puppet show and an appearance by St. Nicholas himself! Authentic German food items (brats, schnitzel, sauerkraut, potato salad and more), beer and Christmas crafts will be available to purchase.

When: Sunday, December 3rd from 12-6pm

Cost: Free 

A Christmas Carol

Another Christmas classic in Omaha featuring the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, who is transformed into a kinder man after a visit from a friendly ghost. The play features entertaining holiday costumes, wonderful music and sets. A perfect family-friendly event for all ages!

Where: Omaha Community Playhouse 6915 Cass Street, Omaha, NE 68132

Holiday Lights and Las Posadas at El Museo Latino

Come one, come all to El Museo Latino as they host their annual holiday Las Posadas event. Las Posadas stands for "The Journey" and the popular song references a Christmas journey of singers traveling and asking for lodging. The tradition started in Spain and became popular in Latin America. El Museo Latino will have activities available for all ages, music and refreshments.
